Organizer Agreements
Legal requirements and responsibilities for event creators
Last updated: July 8, 2026. Please read this agreement carefully before using the Tix platform as an event organizer.
1. Overview
This Organizer Agreement ("Agreement") governs the relationship between Tix ("Platform") and event organizers ("Organizer") who use the Platform to create, promote, and sell event tickets. By using the Platform as an Organizer, you agree to these terms.
2. Organizer Responsibilities
Organizers are responsible for providing accurate event information, maintaining valid venue bookings, delivering the event as described, and ensuring attendee safety. Organizers must comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
3. Fee Structure
The Platform charges a service fee of 5% per transaction, automatically added to the ticket price. This fee covers payment processing, platform maintenance, and customer support. Organizers receive the full ticket price minus payment processing fees, disbursed within 3-5 business days after the event concludes.
4. Content Guidelines
All event listings must feature accurate titles, descriptions, images, and pricing. Prohibited content includes: misleading information, illegal activities, discriminatory events, adult content involving minors, and any content violating intellectual property rights. The Platform reserves the right to remove non-compliant listings.
5. Cancellation & Refund Policy
Organizers may cancel events up to 7 days before the scheduled date. In case of cancellation, full refunds will be issued to all ticket holders. For events cancelled less than 7 days before the date, the Organizer is responsible for all refund costs. The Platform may retain the service fee on cancelled transactions.
6. Data Protection
Organizers acknowledge that attendee data (names, emails) is provided solely for event management purposes. Organizers must not use this data for marketing, sell, or share it with third parties. All data handling must comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other applicable privacy regulations.
7. Liability
The Platform acts as a facilitator and is not liable for event outcomes, attendee experiences, or Organizer conduct. Organizers indemnify and hold harmless the Platform against claims arising from event operations, including injuries, property damage, or contractual disputes with attendees.
8. Account Termination
The Platform may suspend or terminate Organizer accounts for violations of this Agreement, fraudulent activity, or excessive refund requests. Organizers may terminate their account at any time with written notice. Upon termination, pending payouts will be processed within 14 business days.
9. Modifications
The Platform may update this Agreement at any time. Organizers will be notified 30 days before changes take effect. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.
